Overview
Based in South Benfleet, Essex,
Health and Safety Click is a company whose goal is
to provide its customers with an e-community that aids them
in complying with Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations.
The founders of the company come from a variety of business
backgrounds including, health & safety, facilities management,
property and small business management.
Problem
As a start-up business, Health
and Safety Click required to have a method of marketing
their services quickly and cost-effectively. It was decided
therefore that the entire business was to be run online, in
order to provide a current news and information service and
an online Library facility, for ordering and distribution
of Health and Safety documentation.
The Health and Safety Click
site was to be developed "to provide small to medium
sized businesses with a robust and proactive service that
will enable organisations to comply with the requirements
of Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations".
Solution
Health and Safety Click
Ltd approached NetshopperUK to provide their expertise
in order to overcome the problem.
Developed using Coldfusion,
the site consists of three integrated parts, a public front
section, the members section accessed through a "log
in area", and a hidden "admin area" which allows
Health and Safety Click to administer the introduction
of news items and Library products to the website.
Many aspects of the site are
database-driven, which allows Health and Safety Click
access to marketing data of their customers. We were careful
to create a powerful yet easy to use site administration area
through which all the news items, membership details and product
details can be administered from a single location, allowing
for effective time management.
Content developed for the
site includes imagery, flash movies (including a flash demonstration
showcasing the benefits of the site) and an online 'store'
utilising our NetStore ecommerce solution. The Sign-up
process and Library were to be created complete with an integrated
payment process to purchase services and goods, which was
provided through the platform of our NetPayments solution.
